Sackville
Sackville
Sunny, rainy, snowy
But I love it
anytime
Fall, spring, summer, winter
I can pick which I
love being in Sackville
The schools, the bookstore, movies,
waterfowl park, silver lake and
home.
Sackville is my home
no matter where I go.
When you come you will not
want to leave.

The Imperial Theatre
Encased behind concealed doors,
Laden in dust,
Sunlight peeks through the panes of glass.
A hidden jewel haunted by
Ghosts of the past,
Stands tall and silently as a loft in the sky.
Sitting on the balcony one can bask
In the theatre’s immense size
And envision patrons waiting
Patiently for the next serial.
Magic fills your body at this
Mutual ground for friends and foes alike.
Carefully sculpted tin ceilings
Are highlighted with their embossed features.
Ceiling medallions remain
Where ornate fixtures of gleaming
Crystal once hung.
Rosy cheek coloured walls
Surround you and the stage buffered
With rounded moldings enhances
Its genuine authenticity.
An aged relic it will remain.
